Native to the Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia, The Ming Aralia is an indoor, ornamental, versatile and decorative plant which is the epitome of house plant excellence in bonsai form. The Ming Aralia is especially interesting for its foliage - indeed the Polyscais means many-shaded, a reference to its luxurious foliage. Their stalks carry compound leaves with up to seven or more leaflets. Unlike many plants that branch sideways, the Ming Aralia grows vertically. The Aralia is very easy to maintain in that it grows in full sun or heavy shade and is quite happy with north window exposure.
