Picea abies is widely planted for its wood and is used as a Christmas tree in several cities around the world. This Dwarf Spruce has an attractive irregular branching pattern and the extremely short needles grow quadrangular in cross sections (not flattened). The needles are pleasant to the eye due to their dark green color on all four sides.
