Windmill Palm

The windmill palm is grown both from T. Takil and T. Bulgaria, two of the most cold hardy palms in existence, growing as a single, hairy trunk. It begins as a foundation plant that eventually matures as a tall, thin column because it does not branch, and keeps a very tight foliage head. This palm is an appropriate choice for historic Victorian era landscaping, and is often found in older English gardens in southern Britain. Can be grown outdoors, but must be protected in winter, and will also do great on sunny windowsill.
